JOY Stress Anxiety Supplement For Women is formulated with safe, natural ingredients that have a proven record of safety and minimal side effects. Most people who take JOY Stress Anxiety Supplement For Women do not experience any side effects. When side effects do occur, they are usually only mild and short-lasting.

You can safely take JOY Stress Anxiety Supplement For Women with any other nutritional supplements and with most prescribed medication. However, if you are currently under the care of a health practitioner or have a diagnosed medical condition, and especially if you are currently taking prescribed medication, please consult your health practitioner about any possible interactions or concerns.

If you are pregnant or nursing, please consult your healthcare provider before taking JOY.

Our recommended dosage is 1-2 capsules, up to 4 times daily. Exceeding this dosage is not dangerous, but could increase the likelihood of unpleasant side effects.

JOY does not contain sedating ingredients and in general, should not affect your capacity to drive or perform other tasks. However, if you are sleep deprived, you may find that anything that helps you unwind could make you sleepy or less alert. Please use your common sense and do not try any medication or supplement for the first time when you are engaged in an activity that is potentially dangerous.

In acute toxicity studies the LD50 of Withania somnifera was found to be 1750 mg (p.o.) in albino mice.

In reviewing human clinical studies of Withania somnifera, Pratte et al (2014) reported that "None of the trials in this review reported significant adverse effects of WS. All effects reported by participants were mild and did not differ in duration or severity when compared with results in the placebo groups."

Rhodiola Rosea

Edwards et al conclude from their clinical study of 101 subjects experiencing high levels of life stress: "Adverse events were mostly of mild intensity and no serious adverse events were reported. Rhodiola extract at a dose of 200 mg twice daily for 4 weeks is safe and effective in improving life-stress symptoms to a clinically relevant degree."

Holy Basil (Tulsi)

According to the Natural Medicines Database (2016), the following are the known potential drug interactions for holy basil:

  • Anticoagulant/ Antiplatelet drugs

Theoretically, holy basil seed oil might increase the risk of bleeding when combined with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs. In an animal model, holy basil seed oil prolongs bleeding time, possibly due to inhibition of platelet aggregation.  Anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs that might interact with holy basil seed oil include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

  • Pentobarbital (Nembutal) – it’s a group of drugs called barbiturates. The drug slows the activity of the brain and nervous system. Pentobarbital is used short-term to treat insomnia. It is also used as an emergency treatment for seizures (source: Drugs.com)

Theoretically, combining holy basil seed oil and pentobarbital might increase the sedative effects of pentobarbital. In an animal model, holy basil seed oil increases pentobarbitone-induced sleeping time. It is not known if this occurs in humans or if this applies to other barbiturates or sedatives.
